Tassimo Hot Beverage System is a fantastic single serve coffee maker. The Tassimo Hot Beverage System uses Tassimo TDISCs that each have their own barcode. The machine is able to read the barcode and instantly prepare your drink the way it was meant to be prepared. There is no need to adjust strength of brew or cup size, the Tassimo knows as soon as you clamp down the TDISC into the system. Now, Tassimo has released the Tassimo PRO for small offices. Although, the regular sized TDISCs made for the Tassimo Hot Beverage System do not fit into the Tassimo PRO. A different TDISC is needed in order to fit. This was done to prevent theft in offices, so people were not taking TDISCs home to their smaller Hot Beverage Systems. It’s a beautiful and intelligent machine with a sleek design. While the Tassimo PRO TDISCs are not yet by CoffeeRocket.com, the TDISCs for Tassimo Hot Beverage System definitely are. Get your favorites, such as Gevalia Espresso, Starbucks Africa Kitamu, and Suchard Hot Chocolate! Enjoy!

Tassimo Gevalia Espresso TDISC Review
Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010
Alone as just a shot of espresso, the Tassimo Gevalia Espresso TDISC is a bit acidic and definitely needs a bit of sugar. However, it certainly delivers on taste and body for milk based drinks such as cappuccinos and lattes. One of the fantastic features on the Tassimo T-65 Hot Beverage Systems is that it reads barcodes on TDISCs and perfectly dispenses the right amount of coffee. So, without having to change any dials or adjust cup size, the Tassimo Gevalia Espresso TDISC comes out as one perfect demitasse espresso shot, just as it should. For a single cup coffee maker, the Tassimo Gevalia Espresso TDISC is a good espresso, but better in the form of the Tassimo Gevalia Latte TDISC or the Tassimo Gevalia Cappuccino TDISC.
Tassimo Gevalia Caramel Latte Macchiato TDISC New to CoffeeRocket.com
Monday, January 25th, 2010
Tassimo has created a new TDISC! The Gevalia Carmel Latte Macchiato TDISC is a lovely addition to their already varied latte line. The Carmel aspect definitely adds a nice twist for those who are addicted to the Carmel Macchiatos for $4 or more from the local coffeehouse. The new Tassimo TDISC comes in a 2 package deal like all the other lattes. One half of the drink is the shelf-stable milk used for the latte part of the drink, while the second disc is an artificially flavored Carmel Espresso. Check back for a review later this week! Now on CoffeeRocket.com for the low price of $9.99 for 16 TDISCs. Cheers!
Starbucks VIA: New Avenue in Single Serve Coffee Market
Thursday, January 21st, 2010
Starbucks has been a contender in the single serve coffee market through their partnership with Tassimo TDISCS. Truly this has saved consumers money and Starbucks produced some pretty nice combinations. Their Starbucks Africa Kitamu TDISC has been a best-seller for Tassimo and the Starbucks Cappuccino Primo has quickly moved up the ranks. Tassimo offers a Gevalia Cappuccino TDISC combination that gives consumers a nice choice between cappuccinos. Recently, Starbucks has taken measures to expand their product offerings even further by creating a line called VIA, single serving sized packages of instant coffee. They claim the instant coffee is just as good as their fresh brewed, which leads me to wonder if the instant coffee is really that great or their brewed coffee…really isn’t. No offense to Starbucks, but it seems they are sacrificing quality for sales. We’ll just have to see how long VIA stays around to be proven right or wrong.

Tassimo by Bosch Takes Part In TerraCycle Program
Thursday, December 10th, 2009
Tassimo by Bosch and TDISCs by Kraft are gladly a new addition to the single serve coffee manufacturers stepping up to take a bigger part in environmental sustainability. Tassimo by Bosch is now participating in TerraCycle. Recently, we divulged one of Flavia Coffee’s “green” initiatives by featuring their participation in Upcycling their fresh brew packs. Now, we can add Tassimo to the list of contenders for responsible single serve coffee manufacturers.
If you are a user of the Tassimo Hot Beverage System by Bosch, then you certainly know the pangs of throwing away so much waste incurred by used TDISCs. In order to participate in the program, the end consumer needs to spot a small fee to receive a TDISC/Terracycle disposal box, in which the used TDISCs as well as the foil packaging the TDISC boxes come in are Upcycled into products. Currently, this Tassimo single serve coffee Upcycle program is only recognized in the UK. But, we have faith that it will be sooner rather than later we will see Tassimo and Terracycle pair up in the United States as well. Here’s hoping!
