Cafe La Semeuse. If you don’t know this name from the coffee industry, you need to know something. You are missing out! Yes, I hate to push yet another coffee brand in your vocabulary of already over-populated manufacturers, but this is one brand that needs to make its way to the front of your frontal lobe. Cafe La Semeuse produces what they themselves call “a never bitter coffee.” How is that possible? The selectively chosen, delicate Arabica beans are roasted at higher altitudes, which in turn, allows the beans to be roasted at lower temperatures. Translation? No burt beans, no oily residue, no bitter flavor, and surprising (this is not advertised) minimal aftertaste/coffee breath. (This is huge for us who work closely with our co-workers!)
After reading several articles about how Cafe La Semeuse is served in some of the finest returaunts and hotels in the country, I finally brewed a pot for the office. Without being prompted or told that this was a different coffee than they usually drink, everyone commented on the sweet, mild aroma. And after consumption? I got paged 4 times to be asked what I had just made. The answer? Cafe La Semeuse Classique. Looks like our office has a new go-to coffee.
