A couple of weeks ago, the New York Times posted an article regarding the “hip-ness” of decaf coffee. While they admit to only “drinking their decaf in the shadows,” they were overall displeased with the experience they had with the decaf coffees they tried. One of New York Times’ loyal readers wrote a response to the article. She informed them that they had better try Cafe La Semeuse Decaf coffee (one which did not appear on their tasting table), which comes in both whole bean and ground form. Cafe La Semeuse, whose slogan is “the never bitter coffee” has a booming positive reputation with its drinkers. Cafe La Semeuse coffee drinkers are lifers. Though Cafe La Semeuse is not widely available, it is however offered on www.CoffeeRocket.com where we give you great coffee for a great price. Stop on by today and try some out. You won’t be disappointed! Enjoy.
Here’s what the Cafe La Semeuse Decaf coffee drinking fanatic, Maralyn Hirschenbaum, had to say:
To the Editor:
Of necessity, I am a lifelong decaffeinated coffee drinker. About 20 years ago — as a result of a New York Times article praising decaf coffees — I discovered decaffeinated Café La Semeuse.
Although absolutely delicious, it is not widely available. I used to get it at Bloomingdale’s (when they had a substantial gourmet/coffee department) and then at Balducci’s (until they closed). Fortunately for me, there must be others who love it because I now find it in several of the better shops in the city.
For 20 years, I have been serving it to (and surprising, delighting — and enlightening) dinner guests. Your article said that, over all, the tasters were disappointed with the coffees.
All I can say is, do yourselves a favor — come for dinner!
